M-Case Supershell iPad Case Review
It. Is. Fantastic.
Not just for her. She’s 14 months now, and her use has progressed from staring at a Skype picture of her grandparents, to a few interactive nursery rhymes, holding it while she dances to music on Spotify, and even looking at photos. Unlike our iPhones, which she demolished from sucking or dropping, the few times she’s managed to get hold of them, the iPad is as good as new, despite continuous drops, drool on the screen (and standing on it once!).
The case protects all the ports and opening against drool, splashes, spillages on the floor, and dirt and fingers to some extent. It also protects the overall iPad enough that you can drop it from 4-5ft without worrying, especially on the edges. It’s surprising that, once you cover the ports and edges, the uncovered front and back of the iPad can look after themselves pretty well.
And not just protection, but usability for both kids and adults. The edges are really easy to grip – my own iPad sits unloved on my desk, while I just grab the ‘family’ one, look something, and throw (literally) it back on the couch. Our baby can carry it around in two hands. In comparison, our friends have a Fisher Price case, and it’s built like a tank – really heavy to hold, difficult and unpleasant to use, and some buttons are covered and unusable.
If you have an ‘at home’ iPad, get this. Even if you don’t have kids. It liberates your use of the iPad around the house in general. It’s genius.
